What is Automated Micro-Needling?

Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines and treatment of acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance.

Micro-needling is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure which promotes healing to the skin. The procedure affords the benefits of drastically improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, scars and stretch marks. After treatment, the skin is revitalised as it is returned to its former glory.

During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate and produce Collagen and Elastin production. These proteins are the building blocks of smooth and radiant skin.

New skin growth occurs as a result of the microscopic punctures which create tiny wounds. Healing improves the texture and tone of the skin in the area that was treated. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis. which minimises pore size, the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, alopecia, dry and saggy skin, stretch marks, and issues with skin hyperpigmentation along with the appearance of softer wrinkles.

Automated Micro-Needling works by puncturing the skin with adjustable spring-loaded micro-needles. The fine micro-needles can move up and down as they puncture tiny holes in the skin. The procedure also creates superficial micro-channels which allow nutrients, topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin’s deeper layers.

It must be stressed that during this treatment no damage occurs to the dermal layers and the process is completed fairly quickly.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning can help minimize the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and dull skin. The procedure can reveal smoother, firmer and healthier skin.

Dermaplaning is so much more than "shaving your face," because this treatment involves gently pulling a blade along your skin. However, Dermaplaning, unlike traditional shaving, is a physical exfoliation method that requires the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to slough off dead skin cells, top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, dead skin layer, and vellus hair, peach fuzz, so skin is more even in tone and texture. It's superficial (there will not be blood) with a tickly, sandpapery feel.

Most of our clients have a dermaplane procedure about once a month for ideal results. Since the body naturally replaces skin cells each month, this ensures the old cells are removed and new, healthy skin cells are visible. In some cases, more or less frequent visits may be recommended based on the clients specific needs. Suited for all skin types!

What is a Cutting Edge
Cosmeceutical Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel, also known as chemexfoliation or dermapeeling, is a non-surgical procedure to enhance your facial appearance including reducing the signs of ageing, decreasing mild scarring, age spots and freckles and improving the texture and colour of your face.

In this treatment, our advanced aesthetic Practitioner will apply a solution of chemicals to the skin. That creates a controlled wound, letting new skin take its place. The new skin is usually smoother with fewer lines and wrinkles, has a more even color, is brighter in complexion and revealing more youthful skin.

Chemical peels are most commonly performed on your face, neck or hands. They can help reduce or improve:
• Fine lines under your eyes or around your mouth and wrinkling caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors.
• Certain types of acne.
• Mild scarring.
• Sun spots, age spots, liver spots, freckles, uneven skin coloring.
• Precancerous scaly spots called actinic keratosis.
• Rough skin, scaly patches, dull complexion.
• Dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills.

As a high-end beauty professional we use Science based anti-ageing products offering strong clinical performance. We appreciate the innovative formulas obtained through advanced research, high-quality active ingredients and high concentrations of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid.

Many of our clients see a significant improvement in the appearance of their skin tone and texture in as little as one peel treatment. This is because a peel functions as an exfoliant, which can drastically improve the superficial quality of your skin.
